Staples Motley School Board Chair Barb Schmitt, left, thanked Roy DiGiovanni for his sixteen years of service on the board as she presented him with a plaque at his last official board meeting Dec. 21. DiGiovanni was elected in 1993 to the Motley School Board and became part of the board of the consolidated Staples Motley School District. “It’s been a privilege to help parents prepare their children for the future,” DiGiovanni said.
