FCCLA 65th anniversary seeks fellow alumni

2009-12-31 / Current Happenings

In honor of its 65th anniversary, the Minnesota Family, Community and Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) is looking for alumni who have participated in its local and statewide programs since its founding in 1945.

Many of Minnesota FCCLA’s 350,000 former members may remember the organization better as Future Homemakers of America, the group’s name for more than 40 years, or as Future Leaders of America, its name during the 1990s. The organization seeks alumni contact information, and asks for their help in identifying other alumni as well, including recent high school graduates in their families and communities.

“We know that FCCLA made a positive difference in the lives of many Minnesotans. In honor of our anniversary, we hope to get in touch with as many of our alumni as possible,” explained Wendy Ambrose, Executive Director for Minnesota FCCLA.

FCCLA alumni are encouraged to send their contact information (name, address, phone, email, former chapter and years of participation) to Minnesota FCCLA, 1500 Highway 36 West, Roseville, MN 55113. Or they can send an email to Wendy.Ambrose@state. mn.us.
