Sandra Killian
Sandra Jean (Plautz) Killian, 58, of Wadena, died Nov. 24, 2009 while enroute to the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services were held Nov. 28, at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena with Fr. Donald Wagner officiating. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in Wadena.
Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena.
Sandra was born March 21, 1951, to Louis and Leota (Schroedl) Plautz in Wadena. After graduating from Wadena High School she attended school for LPN training in Fergus Falls. She returned to Wadena where she worked at Tri- County Hospital for 31 years until failing health forced her to retire.
On Jan. 23, 1971 she married Samuel Warren Killian in Nampa, Idaho. They made their home in Wadena.
Sandy was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the St. Ann's Church Circle. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Sandra is survived by two sons, Yad (Amy) and Shawn, both of Wadena; three grandchildren; one brother George of St. Cloud; four sisters, Mary Murphy; Brenda (Gary) Kasper; Debbie (Rudy) Yglesias; all of Wadena and Diane (Lowell) Pingree of Coon Rapids; two brothersin law Charles and Elmer Killian; two sisters-in-law Karen Yungbauer and Sandra Enyart.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Pallbearers were Michael Murphy, Chris Plautz, Cody Yglesias, Robert Kasper, Brody Yglesias and Travis Pingree.
