Paul Koval
Paul C. Koval, 69, of Lakeland, died November 23, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital, St. Paul.
Funeral services were held Nov. 28, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Lake St. Croix Beach with Fr. Jerome Keiser offi ciating. Burial was in the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Hudson, Wisc.
Arrangements were with the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson.
Paul was born Jan. 15 1940 in Staples to Frank and Clara (Adamietz) Koval. He graduated from Staples High School and following enlisted in the U.S. Army. On Jan. 16, 1965 he married Kathleen Mc- Donald in Mooreton, N.D. Paul worked for American Hoist in the Twin Cities and Flour City Architectural Metals.
He enjoyed fishing on the St. Croix River, playing cards, ice fishing, traveling, gardening and feeding the deer. He was a member of the Stillwater VFW, Bayport Am. Legion and Stillwater Knights of Columbus.
Paul is survived by his wife, two daughters, Janice (Dale) Jensen of Hudson; Mary (Steve) Idso of Woodbury; three grandsons; three sisters, Marcella "Joan" (Ron) Wolter of Sauk Center; Odelia (Hans) Iten of Browerville; Bernadette (Harold) Hukreide of Avon; one sister-in-law, Lucille Koval of Staples; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gerard Koval.
