Mary A. Fearing, 81, of Staples died Nov. 25, 2009, at the St. Cloud Hospital, due to complications of cancer.
Funeral services Nov. 28, 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, with Fr. Ronald Schmelzer officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.
Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
Mary was born June 7, 1928 to Peter & Frances John of Browerville, where she resided until she married Dean Fearing on May 22, 1982. Together they moved to Staples.
She was a nurse at St. John’s Hospital, in Browerville, for 25 years. Mary enjoyed caring for the new born babies and surgical patients where she work. She also enjoyed dancing with her husband, fishing, going out for Chinese and playing dirty bingo. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Staples and Staples Horizons Club.
Mary is survived by her husband, five sons, James (Cindy Kilman), Cloquet; Richard Citrowski, Texas; David (Virg) Citrowski, Richfield; Terry Fearing, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Scott (Lori) Fearing, Staples; six daughters, Diane Host, Sebeka; Marilyn (Rick) Brichacek, Browerville; Lori (Blayne) Kern, Bessemer, Mich.; Patti (Brian) Baustian, Alexandria; Kristi (Chris) Lessin, Cohasset; Kelly (Todd) Swenson, San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Anthony (Judy) John, New Brighton; one sister, Bernice Straussser, Tucan, Ariz.; 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, William, Joseph and Matthew John.
