Steve Jennissen is the new counselor at the Staples campus of Central Lakes College.

He is a native of Staples who had been serving as Director of Career Services at St. Paul College the past two years.

Jennissen has counseling experience at Pine Technical College. He also has been a mental health practitioner and behavior analyst.

His position is funded by an Access, Opportunity and Success Grant from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, which will also involve outreach efforts at targeted area high schools and occasional work at Brainerd campus.
