Cindy Hankey has given a donation to the Friends of the Staples Public Library fund raising effort from the Robert Hankey Memorial Fund. John Gorton accepted the check on behalf of the library group. Their goal is to raise at least $30,000 for additional fixtures, upgraded furniture and other amenities above the basic furniture and fixtures in the city's budget for the new Staples City Hall and Public Library building.
