Veterans Day remembered in Motley
      Jerry Konen, 1958 graduate of Motley High School, was in attendance at the Veteran's Day program held at the middle school in Motley Nov. 11. Konen, who now lives in Garrison, was a member of the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and served in Vietnam for one year in 1966. He is also the Ex-Commander for the 6th District.

Parent Teacher Organization new at PES
      Pillager Elementary School now has a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), formed this past summer by parents of students. The goal of the PTO, according to information provided by PTO President Jody Carey, is to support the school and teachers by encouraging parents to be more involved in the school.

MFD's new firetruck has recently arrived
A new used grass rig may also be on the way in near future

      Motley Fire Department's brand new #3 truck has recently arrived; and they hope to be purchasing a used grass rig in the near future as well. At their regular meeting Nov. 10, chaired by acting mayor Rob Sampson, the Motley City Council heard a report from Fire Chief Dave Greig about the new #3 truck which has already been put to the test.
