Judy Dukowitz, 50, of Cushing, died Oct. 25, 2009 at Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, 11 a.m. at the Brenny Funeral Home, Staples, with Pastor Steve Sveom officiating. Visitation is Thursday, Oct. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Home.

Judy was born in Bertha on April 28, 1959 to Albert and Gladys (Smith) Dukowitz and raised in the Philbrook area. She graduated from Staples High School and attended cosmetology school in Wadena.

Judy was the owner of Judy's Hairstyling Junction in Motley. She also worked at Friendly Inn part-time for over 30 years. Judy enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, fishing and hunting with her son.

Judy is survived by her three children, Michael (Nicole); Anita Chounard and Austin Bridge; three grandchildren, her fiancée, Butch Bridge; five sisters, Sherie (Carl) Jansen, Vonnie Smith, Linda Hybl, Brenda (Kevin) Seefeldt and Jodee (Joe) Dvorak; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Andrew; one brother in-law, Gary; Butch's parents, Harold and Hazel Bridge.
