Truckloads of rock were being hauled into the parking lots at the new Staples City Hall Monday as Anderson Brothers crews prepared the bed for asphalt later this week. What looked like a swimming pool was being filled in with this rock. That will be covered with a layer of sand and then a permeable asphalt. Rainwater will be allowed to seep through the asphalt and stored in this rock layer until gradually released into the soil through a sheet of landscaping liner.
