Merton A. King, 85, of Staples, died Oct. 5, 2009, at the St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 9, at the Staples Church of Christ. Interment will be at the Swanburg Cemetery, Pine River.

Friends may call on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 6-8 p.m., at the Staples Church of Christ and on the day of the service starting at 10 a.m., in the church.

Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Home in Browerville.
