Little Moran to host hunting fair Sept. 12-13
Straight shooter Tom Knapp is the featured attraction at next weekend's Hunting Experience at Little Moran Hunting Club. The Little Moran Hunt Club will host, Hunting Experience with Tom Knapp, holder of three world records, shooting both days on Sept. 12-13.
This first ever hunting fair will be a hands-on experience, giving fair goers an opportunity to see and try many aspects of conservation, hunting and hunting dogs. All at Little Moran Hunt club southwest of Staples on Red Oak Road.
The U.S. Sportsman Alliance, along with Minnesota DNR representatives will have professionals on hand to help with youth events planned in a way to help mentor youth as well as novice and experienced hunters. Dog clubs, factory reps, etc. will have displays and models to use and experience.
Little Moran will be set up in outdoor villages designed to educate and experience real field work, use of hunting dogs and many other concepts of conservation and wildlife. Villages will consist of an archery (3-D walk thru course), sporting clay course, water fowl and retriever, muzzle loader, upland (both flushing and pointing breeds of hunting dogs), fly fishing seminar and hands on instruction, game cooking and preparation.
Additional seminars and demonstrations will take place near the main lodge. There will be vendors on site for food and beverages.
