Elizabeth Meide, 87, of Staples, died Aug. 27, 2009, at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 3, 11 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, in Browerville with Fr. Ralph Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Christ the King Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services.

Elizabeth was born June 7, 1922 in Ward Township, Todd County, to Joe and Alice (Sadlo) Motl. She married Leo Meide on Sept. 28, 1943 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Browerville. They moved to Kenosha, Wisc. in 1952. She worked at American Motors Corp in Kenosha until her retirement in 1982, and then moved to Staples. She enjoyed gardening and watching television. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples.

Elizabeth is survived by one son, Glen Meide, two sisters: Delores Cadwell, Florence Jambor; and four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Leo and sister Lorraine Ulick.
