Darlene Martha Kuiper, 73, of Staples, formerly of St. Louis Park, died August 25, 2009 in Staples.

Funeral services were Sept. 2, at the Motley United Methodist Church in Motley. Burial was in the Motley Cemetery.

Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena.

Darlene was born May 10, 1936 to Theodore M. and Martha O. (Stowe) Hansen

in Staples Township.

She married Jerome "Jerry" Stephen Kuiper on

Dec. 11, 1983 in St. Louis Park. Darlene was an antique dealer for the past seven years in Staples and enjoyed flower gardening, refurbishing furniture, garage sales and attending auctions.

Darlene is survived by two brothers, Donald (Cathy) Hansen of Philbrook; Delbert (Bonita) Hansen of Staples; one sister, Dorothy Seely and companion Swede Halverson, of Browerville; one sister-in-law, Lana Hansen of Motley; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Duane; one brother-in-law, Terry Seely; one nephew and one niece.
