Level III sex offender moves out of Motley to Little Falls area
Level III Sex Offender Charles Josephson has recently moved from Motley into Swan River Township southwest of Little Falls.
A community notification meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, 6:30 p.m., at the Morrison County Government Center, Meeting Room I, to advise concerned residents about this.
According to Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel, the meeting will provide information to concerned residents about who the offender is; what local residents can and cannot do; and provide a venue for residents to ask questions concerning the offender.
Josephson, 35, moved into an apartment located on the 900 block of Highway 10 about a year ago, shortly after he was released from the MN Correction Facility in St. Cloud.
Motley Police Chief Brian Madison did not have any information as to what the contributing factors were in Josephson's move to the Little Falls area.
Josephson has been convicted twice of criminal sexual conduct in Morrison County. The first conviction was in 1994, for third-degree criminal sexual conduct. The second was in 1999, for first-degree criminal sexual conduct for an incident that occurred in 1997.
Josephson was sentenced to six years in prison for that offense; and was sent back to prison in April 2006, after pleading guilty to criminal vehicular homicide, according to court records.
DOC records say Josephson was released from custody in August 2008. He has been on intensive supervised release since.
A Level III sex offender is the most likely to reoffend.
