Thomas Henry Williams, 82, of Paradise, Mont., Aug. 8, 2009 in his home.

Funeral services were Aug. 11, at Plains Assembly of God Church in Plains, Mont., with Rev. Jim Sinclair officiating. Burial with Military honors of Horse Plains VFW Post #3596 was in the Plains Cemetery, in Plains.

Arrangements were with the Sunset Hills Funeral Homes in Plains.

Thomas was born Jan. 29, 1927 to Thomas Henry Sr., and Ida V. (Clossen) Williams in Staples. He grew up and graduated from the Staples High School. He married Grace Vera Sybrant in 1955. He worked as a gandy dancer until he went into the U.S. Marines in 1944, where he served in WW II. He was honorably discharged in 1948, and thereafter worked on the railroad until he retired in 1989. He then moved to Paradise.

Thomas is survived by his 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Matthew Williams.
