Florence I. Bean - Rohl

Florence I. Bean–Rohl, 85, of Brainerd, died Aug. 17, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. 

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 21, at the United Methodist Church in Motley with Reverend Greg Ciesluk officiating. Friends are welcome to gather 4– 8 p.m., Thursday evening at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in BAXTER.  Burial will follow services at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager.  

Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.

Florence was born Oct. 2, 1923 in Woonsocket, S.D., to William and Anna (Thompson) Haffner. 

She loved to read, garden, embroider, sew, crochet, collector of spoons and silver flatware for her grandchildren, travel and music boxes. 

Florence is survived by her husband, Walter; three daughters, Sharon Martin; Audrey Groshong; Beverly (Bruce Kapitan) Bean; three step-daughters, Gwen Lumsden; Laurel (John) Park; Ellen (Elroy) Noreen; her sister, Lila (Ron) Zimney; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Dean; her parents; four brothers; and two sons-in-law.
