Charlette Claire Hoemberg of Moorhead, formerly of Staples, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at her home.
Funeral services were 2:00 PM on Aug. 3, in the Johnson Memorial Home Chapel in Wadena with Pastor Rachel L.O. Stout officiating. Honorary pallbearers were all of Charlette’s nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Charlette was born Oct. 15, 1939 in Elba Township, of Winona County. Her adoptive parents were Joseph and Clara Mettel. She attended and graduated from Wadena High School in 1958. She lived in California until 1975.
She married Larry Hoemberg, making their home in the Staples and Wadena areas for 19 years and had resided in Moorhead the last 15 years. She was employed as a paraprofessional and as a homemaker she found pleasure in photography, reading, knitting and sudoku number puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; three daughters, Robin (Kim) Kaefring of Tiffin, Iowa; Dawn (Brett) Lundgren of Wadena; Heidi (Doug) Ricker of Browerville; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one brother, LeRoy (Melody) Bartsch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, (Joseph and Clara); and one brother, Dale Bartsch.
