| Striping of the new road surface was one of the last touches last week for Wadena County Road 30 north of Staples. Residents of that area and golfers at The Vintage are enjoying a completely refurbished roadway from the Central Lakes College campus to the Crow Wing River bridge. Approximately 1,500 feet of the roadway was washed out by flooding this spring. The road had been scheduled for resurfacing in 2010, but the washout and complications with other projects moved County Road 30 up on the priority list. (Staples World photo by Tom Crawford) |
