New dugouts at Pine Grove

A pair of concrete block dugouts are the latest addition to the baseball field at Pine Grove Park, home field for the Staples Lumberbats baseball team. The dugouts were built with concrete block furnished by the W.W. Thompson Concrete firm of Brainerd, with labor supplied mainly by the Todd-Wadena Sentence to Serve adult crews and also by members of the Lumberbats. Central Building Supply also provided materials such as the roofing, while the Staples Host Lions provided funds to purchase any other needed supplies. (Staples World photo by Tom Crawford)
