LaVon Davidge, 99, formerly of Staples, died Feb. 27, 2009 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

A memorial dinner was held on April 11, in Scottsdale; Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples at a later date.

Arrangements were with Angel Mortuary in Mesa, Ariz.

LaVon was born Dec. 9, 1909 in Denver, Colo. and grew up in Minneapolis. LaVon and husband, Harold resided in Staples for many years while raising their family. She was a member of the Congregational Church and a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star.

LaVon is survived by two daughters, Jerie Weason of Palm Desert, Calif.; Joann Coler of Scottsdale; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
