Theresa Kaste

Theresa Kaste, 50, of Staples, died June 23, 2009 at the Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples.

Funeral services were held June 27, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Staples. Burial was in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.

Theresa was born on Dec. 8, 1958, in Sauk Center, to Wendell and Eva (Sharp) Terry. She grew up and graduated from Wadena High School in 1975. She met Stan Kaste and they married on Jan. 18, 1980. While her children where small, Theresa ran a day care out of her home. She worked for the Staples Dairy Queen, for 10 years, and Lakewood Health System, first as a CNA and then as an LPN, earning her degree from Central Lakes College in 2007. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening and baking.

Theresa is survived by her husband of 29 years; one son, Craig (Steph) of Bloomington; two daughters, Heather (Dale) Davis of Onalaska, Wisc.; Tiffany Kaste of Staples; one granddaughter, her mother, one sister, Ellen Niska of St. Cloud; nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Mary.
