Donna J. Hagenson

Donna J. Hagenson, 80, of Staples, June 30, 2009 at the Lakewood Health System Care Center. 

Funeral services were held July 2, at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Burial will be at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.

Donna was born on Feb. 21, 1929, in Bertha, to Armin and Inez (Rubel) Duenow. She attended school there, graduating from the eighth grade. On Nov. 25, 1949, she married Norman Hagenson in Staples and they were blessed with eight sons. 

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the church Ladies Guild. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and watching the Minnesota Twins. 

Donna is survived by eight sons, Duane, Dennis, Daniel (Sharon), David (Jody) and Donald all of Staples; Douglas (Meg) of Brainerd; Dale (Barbara) of Wyoming; Darren (Christine) of St. Louis Park; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Gerald and Charles.
