Lake Survey
Big Birch Lake was good to the members of the SAFL. The weather for the evening presented cool temperatures, mild northwest breeze and clear skies. Twelve teams scored points measuring 56 fish for the evening. The most abundant species was large mouth bass as twelve teams measured fortytwo of them from 12 to 17 inches. Small mouth bass followed by two teams measured five of them between 15 and 17 inches and third most abundant species was northern pike four teams measured four between 19¼ and 22¼ inches. Two teams measured three walleye from 18½ to 20 inches. One teams measured one sunfish at 7¾ inches.
