Todd deputies report variety of incidents

The Todd County Sheriff's Department reported a wide variety of incidents over the past several days.

Numerous houses along Pinto Drive in the Sylvan Shores area of Fawn Lake Township were hit with red paint balls, according to a June 7 incident report. Dennis Ayers of 40433 Pinto Drive, Browerville, reported the incidents to the sheriff's office on the morning of June 7.

Two vehicles were heavily damaged and three people were treated at the Long Prairie Hospital for injuries following a two-car collision in Burleene Township about 7:30 p.m. June 5. Lorie and Punk Marcyes of Long Prairie were in one northbound vehicle on 115th Avenue and Mike Roers of Alexandria were in the other westbound car on 290th Street when they collided at an intersection.

Paula Pettit of rural Wadena reported to the sheriff's office that she hit a deer about 10 p.m. on June 3 just a half mile west of Staples on Highway 10. Her 2005 Chrysler Pacifica had moderate damage. Another car-deer incident was reported June 1 by Robin Klemek, whose vehicle struck a deer near the Todd Line Road north of Hewitt. Drivers were not injured but vehicles had some damage in these incidents.

A small mount of cash and merchandise were taken from the Grandma's Kountry Kitchen in Hewitt when someone broke into the business sometime before 6 a.m. June 2. There was some damage done by forced entry and officers also noted damage to several items inside the business. Police would appreciate any information on this incident.

Deputies also investigated several other items or reports from southern Todd County areas, including the Burtrum and Sauk Centre areas
