Thirty area children entertained audiences Saturday at two performances of Pinocchio brought to Centennial Auditorium by the Staples Motley Area Arts Council. The children auditioned and were cast the previous Sunday evening by two director/actors from Prairie Fire Children's Theatre for this original adaptation of the classic tale. The young people rehearsed every night last week, learning new songs and dance routines as well as their lines. The program was paid for in part by a grant from the Staples Community Foundation.
