Staples Another successful American Cancer Society Staples Motley Relay For Life was completed on the very cold Friday night of June 5. Community, you supported the events like never before. The survivor picnic had the special touch of placing the ribbon around each survivors neck as their name was called. The survivor had the opportunity to share how long they have been a survivor with the guests.

Fourteen teams raised $32,686 for research, education, Hope Lodge and other helps for victims of cancer. I am especially proud of the three new teams this year, the Raiders from Central Lakes College, Ann's Angels (Ziegler family) and the Sacred Heart School team. It was definitely a family evening.

Save the second weekend of June next year to return and possibly have your own team. I am proud and thankful to live in a community with such caring people.
