The May 28 Staples World article about the return of an Iraq War veteran described Rodger Pruitt's return to see his foster child Kaleb.

To clarify, Kaleb's parents are former Staples residents David and Amanda Murdock, who are now living in Long Prairie. Due to health and other issues, the Pruitts stepped in as foster parents when Kaleb was born and have helped raise him. However, Kaleb now lives with his parents and considers the Pruitts his adopted grandparents, calling them Papa and Grandma.
