Nate Mathews, Staples city administrator, filled in for Mayor Chris Etzler in reading a proclamation naming May 12 Arbor Day in Staples. City Parks and Rec Director Kevin Grondahl and other adults helped with the planting of this tree and 116 others along the new Highway 10 route.
