A crew from ACCT (Asbestos Contamination Control Team) from the Duluth Superior area worked on removing lead based paint from the building's soffits and facia areas. The same crew was planning to start Wednesday removing the asbestos shingles from the roof. After they are done, MG Carlson Company from Brainerd will do roof repairs and replace the shingles with new synthetic shingles. The $200,000 project is a Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) funded project.
