Motley man sentenced

A 56-year-old Motley man was sentenced in federal court recently for possessing child pornography.
On May 14, in Minneapolis, United States District Court Judge James Rosenbaum sentenced Dennis Gregory Walker to 60 months in prison and 15 years of supervised release on one count of possession of child pornography. Walker was charged on Jan. 21; and pleaded guilty on Feb. 27.
According to Walker's plea agreement, he admitted that on Feb. 2, 2007, he knowingly and unlawfully possessed child pornography that he obtained on the Internet by use of a computer.
During an executed search warrant at Walker's residence, police recovered more than 600 images of child pornography on computers, hard drives, removable media and compact discs.
