Conference on Aging set for June 3 at Staples CLC
The 28th Conference on Aging will be held Wednesday, June 3 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Staples campus of Central Lakes College.
The theme for the conference is "Your Health is Your Wealth - Getting Fine in 0." It is for seniors age 55 and up.
Participants may choose to attend up to three of the following break-out sessions:
Bone Builders; How to Have Peace of Mind When Your Life Plans Are Made; Financial & Estate Planning for Seniors; Scrap Booking; How to Grow Herbs & Vegetables in a Container Garden; Wii Fun! Staying Fit Indoors!; Wood Carving - A Productive Use of Your Idle Time; You're OK - I'm OK; Name that Tune with the Accordion; The Blues: Not a Normal Part of Aging; It's a Matter of Balance; Laugh Yoga; Tai Chi Warm-up Exercises; How to Talk to Your Doctor & Other Tips on Staying Healthy; Normal Aging Process; Safe Driving for Seniors; Medicare 101; Quilting - A Healthy Pastime.
There also will be exhibits, entertainment, lunch, and many door prizes.
