Submitted photo First Lt. Jordan Sams, Task Force 34 Headquarters logistical liaison officer from Staples, received an Air Medal at an award ceremony on Joint Base Balad, Iraq on April 24. Awards were given by Col. Clay Brock, Task Force 34 commander. An Air Medal is given to recognize those who are on current crew member flying status which requires them to participate in aerial flight on a regular and frequent basis in the performance of their primary duties.
