Submitted photo Staples history buff Pete Card Jr. submitted these
photos showing east Staples scenes from many years
back. The tourist camp photo above was from the late 1920s or early 1930s and was the same location as
the 1940s diner car pictured in the April 9 Staples World. Below is a photo from one block to the west, showing the Card Brothers White Eagle gas station, and taken in 1936. Pete and Bill Card operated this service station adjacent to their parents house on the same lot as the current Super America store.
