Miss Staples Motley, Rebecca Iverson, will hand over her crown on Saturday, June 6.

In anticipation of this event, the Staples Motley Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting registrations for girls ages 15-20 for Miss Staples Motley; and girls ages 5-10 from Little Miss Staples Motley.

Contestants must live in, be registered in, or be a graduate of the Staples Motley school district.

The new Miss Staples Motley will receive a $1,000 scholarship and various prizes. She will also attend area parades, community events and be a representative of the Staples Motley area.

The Miss Staples Motley Scholarship Pageant 2009 will be held at the SMHS gymnasium and is being choreographed by Angela Kramer. Practices begin June 3.

Applications are available at the Staples Motley Area Chamber of Commerce office, the SMHS office; and the Stomping Grounds coffee house in Staples. Application deadline is May 22.
