Joe Schmit to speak at 'Men's Night Out'
Take advantage of health screenings, educational resources, dinner
and informative speakers
at Tri-County Hospital's "Men's Night Out" on Tuesday,
April 28 at the Wadena Memorial Auditorium.
"Men's Night Out" is a free educational event on health for men 18 years and older. This year's keynote speaker is Joe Schmit, former KSTP anchor. He will be sharing stories from his 28 years in broadcasting, as well as personal stories dealing with cancer.
Health screenings will be offered from 4 to 6 p.m. Tri-County Hospital (TCH) will provide free screenings for glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, prostate specific antigen (PSA) and body-fat analysis. Informational booths will be available on CPR, surgical procedures, as well as tips about starting an individualized walking program by TCH physical therapists.
A soup and sandwich dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the school lunchroom.
The evening program will kick off at 6 p.m. with
a presentation on the 'Stages of Man' by Steve
Davis, MD, followed by a panel discussion featuring local medical experts. Local on-air personality, Rick Youngbauer, will be the panel moderator, as well as master of ceremonies.
