Authorities have determined the cause of death of the two people found in their home in Verndale on March 6.

The Verndale Police Department has been informed by Wadena County Coroner Tom Speed that the cause of death for Steven Hanebuth and Jeannie O'Conner has been ruled as prescription medication overdose.
