Led by Donna Lee (second from left), the group began last Oct., with the goal of "giving back to the community. Yvonne Dickman came up with the idea," Donna said. Recipients of their projects have included the Staples Public Library; Lakewood Health System Care Center; and Harmony House in Motley. On March 27, they made Easter baggies filled with candy donated by Ernie's Grocery in Staples. Group members include Lee, Pat Rudin, Jodi Eckes, Edith Wegscheid, Karen Gorder, Clara Hopkins, Marcy Martin, Laura Cox, Sue Gurnoe. Zoey Salthe, SMHS freshman, also helped with the Easter project.
