Murdock to host town hall meetings
State Rep. Mark Murdock, R-Perham, will host another round of town hall meetings throughout District 10B with a tour of five area cities slated for Apr. 4.
Murdock conducted similar events in five different 10B cities in mid-March. The initial round of town hall meetings generated discussion on a variety of topics, particularly the economy as the Legislature works to erase a $6.4 billion deficit. Murdock said he is eager to hear from additional local residents as the current legislative session unfolds. The meetings are informal and open to the public.
"The first round of meetings went really well," Murdock said. "Folks were able to talk about whatever was on their mind and that led to some really productive discussions in a casual setting. We face some significant challenges this legislative session, so I'm interested to hear what people have to say."

Saturday, April 4
DENT: Nootzi's on Main (106 Main St.), 9 a.m.
NEW YORK MILLS: Senior Citizens Center (12 Walker Ave. N), 10 a.m.
WADENA: Minnesota State Community and Technical College; cafeteria area (405 Colfax Ave. S.W.), 11 a.m.
VERNDALE: Senior Citizens Center (107 S. Farwell St.), noon.
STAPLES: Community Center (425 4th St. NE), 1 p.m.
