Staples Police Department has been forced to postpone a planned weather spotters course due to - of all things, - the weather.

The weather spotters course scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, at the Staples Police Department was cancelled.

This was due to expected snowfall and the National Weather Service was unable to send a trainer.

"We will be scheduling another date sometime towards the end of April," Police Chief Kyle Huber said. He said he hoped to schedule it during the week of April 20.
