Staples World photo by Janice Winter Staples World photo by Janice Winter Last week there were several reports of eagle sitings along County Road 2, past the Central Lakes College Ag Center near Staples. As many as 15 eagles were in the stubble field apparently feeding on a deer carcass, with clear puddles of water readily available. The eagles congregating included both immature and mature Bald Eagles (white heads and tails; yellow beak) and a Golden Eagle (brown feathering; darker beak), like the one above.
