Jearlyn Steele The Cultural Arts Series at Central Lakes College presents "An Evening with Jearlyn Steele" at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 3, in Chalberg Theatre on the Brainerd campus.

A mainstay of Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion, Ms. Steele performs an evening of blues, jazz, gospel and pop music.

Steele has been a singer/ performer with her family in their group The Steeles, famous for The Gospel at Colonnus which made its way from Minneapolis to New York's Carnegie Hall.

Besides her many appearances on the National Public

Radio show, she

is featured in the "Prairie Home

Companion" film.

Steele hosts Steele Talkin' on WCCO Am 830 radio and is the entertainment editor for the Twin Cities Public Television show Almanac.
