LuZetta K. Peterson, 88, of Staples, died March 14, 2009 at the Lakewood Health Systems Hospital.

Memorial services were held March 18 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples with Fr. Scott Wittkop officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Arrangements were with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.

LuZetta was born March 28, 1920, in Callaway to Louis and Elizabeth (Fairbanks) Martin. She met and married Donald Peterson in Hawley in July of 1941.

LuZetta is survived by two sons, Ronald (Mary) and Lynn "Tom" both of Staples; three daughters, Gerri (Ed) Bennett of St. Cloud; Sandy (Ken) Hassler of Northwood, N.D.; Karen (Tom) Olson of Moose Lake; 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband

in 1981, six brothers,

Morris, Isaac, Bernard "Budge", William, Lloyd "Gene", and Martin "Cyke",

and three sisters, Irene Vizenor; Blanche Hanson; and Emma Morrison.
