Scott Case, 55, of Staples, died March 13, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Funeral services will held be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 19 at Faith Lutheran Church in Staples with Pastor Steve Sveom officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.

Scott was born Nov. 7, 1953, in Staples to Alan and Nancy (Spencer) Case. He graduated from Staples High School in 1972. He attended the Detroit Lakes VoTec for two years for

drafting. Scott worked a few years out in New Hampshire before returning to Minnesota to working in the Twin Cities. In 1981, he married Trudy. Scott. He loved music, teaching himself to play guitar, the outdoors, fishing and especially his family.

Scott is survived by two sons, Alan of Montrose; Christopher (Sarah) of Howard Lake; four grandchildren; his parents; one brother, Brian (Brenda) of Waconia; three sisters, Nancy (Greg) Koval of Browerville; Liz (Ted) Kraemer of Osakis; Dayna (Gary) Mertens of Staples; four nephews and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cyril and Lillie Case and Daniel and Marion Spencer; and one infant twin brother.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
