James Kilbury
James Boyd Kilbury Sr., 71, of Staples, died March 15, 2009 at his home after battling cancer for several months.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples with Pastor Mike Piccanatto officiating.
Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
James was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Hammond Indiana to Marion Vail and Richard Kilbury. He married Nancy Kilbury in November of 2008. He loved listening and playing music, playing guitar, building things and watching NASCAR races, even though he was blind, it didn't stop him from doing any of the things he loved. Jim cherished his family and friends. He owned and operated JML Variety Store in Staples.
James is survived by his wife, Nancy; three sons, James Jr. of Minneapolis; Bryan (Amy) of Kansas; Chad (Amanda) of Staples; two daughters, Lori (Dan) of Staples; Angel of Kansas; and one step-daughter, Michelle; 14 grandchildren, two brothers, Norman of Missouri; and Roger (De- Lous) of Henning; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, two brothers, Ross; and Art; two sisters, Norma and Maryanne.
