Staples Motley School District and MOMS Club of Staples sponsored a Preschool Education and Activities Fair Feb. 28. The fair showcased area preschool educational opportunities along with community businesses offering preschool activities or services.

Twelve organizations participated including Lakewood Health System, Staples Motley High School Childcare, Staples Eye Clinic, Staples Motley Early Childhood Coalition, Music General, Lakewood Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder program, Staples Community Center, Staples Public Library, Sacred Heart Preschool, Jessica Buck, homeschooling options, TCC-Head Start, and Freshwater Education District Early Childhood programs. Representatives from the Staples Police Department, the Staples Fire Department and the Staples Post Office were available to share with children and their parents.

Approximately 30 families attended the event. Parents were able to preview area opportunities and talk directly to teachers and staff.

Children enjoyed play areas, crafts and activities, meeting a police officer, trying on firefighting equipment, fun treats and prizes.

"Our community has so much to offer preschoolers and their families," said

Sara Dregney, president

of MOMS Club of Staples. "The organizations that

participated in the fair really went above and beyond to make the morning fun for the children."
