Mayor Chris Etzler and Police Chief Kyle Huber got the ribbon cutting honors at the open house and official opening of the new Staples Police Station. On hand to help out was the entire force of full time officers including Mark Wisch, left, Chris Goff, City Council Member Rob Schmeig, Huber, Officer Melissa Birkholtz, Etzler, Police Secretary Wanda Obermuller, Officer Ron Case and Sgt. Doug Case. Several hundred people turned out Friday afternoon for the open house and tours of the remodeled Mueller Motors building.
