Educate and help end domestic violence

The Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women (MCBW) has just released the 2011 Minnesota Femicide Report, which documents the number Minnesotans murdered in 2011 as a result of domestic violence.

According to Liz Richards, MCBW Director of Programming, in 2011, 34 Minnesotans were murdered as a result of domestic violence:

The Staples Motley School To Work Committee and the Staples Motley Area Chamber need the public’s help in identifying outstanding youth workers who demonstrate excellent soft skills at their work site.

Awards will be given to two “ Outstanding Youth Workers” and “Honorable Recognition” to other teens.

JENNA KOHLMAN, Staples, has been named to the President’s List for the 2011 fall semester at Minnesota State Community and Technical College. To qualify for this achievement, a student must complete 12 credits for the semester with a grade point average of 3.5.
