Staples Motley Relay for Life events planned

Staples Motley and surrounding areas are once again making plans for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event which will be held Friday, June 8, in Staples.

The ‘Kick-Off’ is Thursday, Feb. 9, 6 p.m., at the Lakewood Health System Hospital cafeteria.

Movie viewing at Verndale church

The Verndale Alliance Church will have two showings of the movie “Courageous” Saturday, Feb. 4, at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The four men featured in the movie are law enforcement officers facing a new challenge - fatherhood.

The public is invited to attend. The church is at 109 NW Brown St., Verndale.
